The Blue Bonnet Express ride is behind us, and we are now making good progress with the prep for the Katy Flatlands Century, taking place on July 17. Of course, we need volunteers, many more than the BBX. Serve your club by signing up here: http://bit.ly/2022KFCVOLS and you will receive our thanks as well as discounts on kit.

BBX volunteers, stay tuned, we are setting up the process for you to spend your volunteer rewards. Be looking for an email with your unique code soon.

Details of the Katy Flatland and all arrangements can be found on the KFC’s very own website here at https://kfc.bike/.

As per the last email/letter, our calendar lists all our regular rides. The Wednesday Hump Day ride is well supported, the Thursday Spring Creek Greenway ride is ongoing, and Saturdays have rides at Zube Park, with various speed groups, and the very friendly and socially-paced Coffee Ride in Tomball – this is the ride for you if you’re new to group rides and/or want to eat banana bread with some pals. There’s also a monthly MTB ride, with the next one happening on Sunday May 29.

Our May club meeting will take place on Sunday May 8, starting at 3 pm, again at Senate Avenue Brewing. We’ll stand you your first drink, and will buy one for mom if she comes too! There will be a short presentation of the latest salient club news, but we hope you can come to chat with friends. You can find details of all the above on the calendar here: https://nwcc.bike/events-list/

This weekend sees some club members taking part in the 2022 MS150. Saturday April 30 from Houston/Katy/Waller to La Grange and Sunday May 1 from La Grange to College Station. Day 2 brings a couple of new routes with plenty of climbing for all of us participating! Climbing! Yikes!

You can order kit on the Home Page of the website; just scroll down to the bottom off the page and click on NWCC Team Store. Contact a Board Member for the members-only user name and password; your kit will be delivered to you quickly!

I look forward to seeing you on the MS150, at Hump Day, Zube. Be safe!
