NWCC Mountain Bike Sunday
This ride takes place once a month on Sundays, and it is open to members and non-members.
Please check the NWCC calendar for details, because the time and place changes each month.
We expect riders not to ride if currently experiencing symptoms such as sore throat, cough, chills, body aches for unknown reasons, shortness of breath for unknown reasons, loss of smell, loss of taste, fever, temperature at or greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit or if you have had these symptoms in the past two weeks. If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, been advised to get tested, or been advised to quarantine, we expect you not to ride in any of our group rides until the quarantine period has passed.
Depending on numbers, we will split into separate speed and distance groups, so that we can accommodate all. If we do not have enough participation for multiple groups, then we will regroup at various points along the trail, and adjust the route accordingly. Even if we ride as one group, there is often an option for some to ride shorter and for those wanting more miles to head back out for an additional loop.
Typical attendance has been ~6 riders, averaging ~9 mph, and riding for 1.5 to 2 hours.
But, we have occasionally had enough riders to do a faster or a slower group.
Bring a chair, a cooler/ bite to eat, and a chance of clothes and hang out afterwards!
– Ride at your own risk, and a helmet is mandatory.
– Please have a trail map (check venue website/ download via App “MTB Project” or TrailForks, etc.).
– Do not ride muddy trails nor leave ruts in the trails.
– Warn of oncoming riders (yield to those climbing uphill). Yield to hikers & alert of the number behind you or “clear back/ last one” as courtesy.
